On Saturday and Sunday a bunch of reports of large striped bass caught up by Barnegat Inlet by boat by live lining bunker. Connor, of FishHawk Charters, has three in the morning and three more in the afternoon. For the 68th Annual LBI Surf Fishing Classic (the Derby) we have had our first striped bass weigh-in and our first bluefish weigh-in!

Jul 4, 2022 · In the surf, anglers are killing it with kingfish. They are also catching fluke, some blues and dogfish. And saw a report of a nice striper that was still hanging around. In the bay, there are fluke, weakfish and some bluefish in the inlet. And out at the reef there are some seabass. Today we have minnows and fresh bunker. Bank fishing near the dam was productive recently with rainbow, garlic Powerbait. Trout landed ranged from 12-18 inches.
