For this comparison, I am going to focus on the Scout Squad and Loaded models. Scout optics are more difficult to shoot. Loaded vs Scout and Standard is a jump, National Match, Super Match and the specialist variants are difficult to find models to test. The Midweight barrel works well with the Loaded but it doesn't matter much.It features a 22-inch stainless steel National Match medium-weight barrel with a muzzle brake, and it comes with a National Match front post sight and a National Match adjustable rear sight. For my testing I borrowed Springfield steel M1A scope mount and installed a Nikon Black X1000 4-16x50mm scope.

I have a springfield M1A loaded ie match barrel, sights and trigger. I really like the m-1 platform. It fits me better than the AR-15 platform. My M1A/M-14 is a great rifle IMHO. I have not tried the NM model.
