Maya can get a lot of boosts for SMG's. Look for a good CAT mod, can dramatically increase SMG damage, my current one raises SMG damage by 103%.Look up Twisted Pimp 2.0 by Derchlands, it's one of the few Maya builds that can compete with BeeHawk without being super squishy due to the Bee's low capacity.
