You need to get into the brain room before this happens; otherwise, controlling the battlefield is much harder. So, spend your first few turns trying to control the battlefield as much as possible while your channeler and its damage support can get into the brain room, and beat the boss. You can't dominate the brain here. I passed 3 of the 4 skill checks (2 normal ones and the DC 99) and the brain got a debuff that reduces about 1/3 of its hp during the final fight.
