The Acadia has an open front differential, what you are feeling could not be related to the AWD system. My 2012 has a hesitation in its acceleration when launching from a complete stop. We start to accelerate and the car moves, then there's a hesitation in the acceleration. Pressing the gas pedal further gets it out of this lull, as will waiting for a 1/2 second with the gas pedal in the same position.If it was power steering, most likely the noise would be more noticeable during a very low speed turn. It seems when I'm doing about 40 mph or 60 mph the RPMs drop between 1700 and 2100 and I get the shudder/buck. If I let off the gas or accelerate it powers through but when at steady speeds in traffic it gives those issues.
