For a main it is better to not corrupt the bowfa. It takes 130 hours of constantly firing a bowfa to use up all the charges 2k crystal shards would have given. If you ever plan on selling the bowfa later, then corrupting is a waste of gp. You will have enough gp for a TBow before the 130 hours are up.That said bowfa IS 100% worth the grind overall(+10 max hit iirc with eagle eye). Full crystal with a regular crystal bow is probably alot better than you think, I was surprised when I used it on leagues. Yes crystal armour with crystal bow has better dps than blowpipe in many places. I use for greater demon tasks and absolutely smack. Insanely good almost everywhere.

Elite void is 12,5% damage and 10% accuracy and no ranged bonus. Crystal armor with barrows gloves is 15% damage and 30% accuracy with +70 range bonus. So you'll hit nearly as hard but waaaay less accurate. I'd say plenty better than rcb, prolly gonna be a bit of a struggle if you wanna do ranged only zulrah for example.

Bowfa and crystal armour is really good If you are lower level, it might be worth it just to get blowpipe first and get your stats up/maybe do some chambers in hopes of rigour/augury. I did my bowfa grind without rigour, but I had augury and used the staff mostly. Once I had the mechanics down well I started to use the Halberd more though

(Crystal body+ legs, not helm) People heavily overestimate the use cost, in an average solo i vary between 25-40 charges per armour piece, less than a single crystal shard per raid. You can thieve an average of 140 shards in an hour. BowFa deez nuts.
