It's superior to +10 Magic when Int is higher than Str/Dex. from what i understand the buffed options are going to be higher dmg but only for the length of the buff, thats the drawback. so if youre going to faceroll your invasions then buff i guess. for invaders, proabably the way to go.

hyper armor makes light weapons trivial. if you do good damage and can take a hit, light weapons are like paper, im including estocs, strait swords, dark sword, whips and everything else people complain about. hyper armor is your friend. the only thing op is your fear of these kiddy toys.

It's usually 14/16 str 40 dex/45 str or 27/28 str 40/45 dex for a quality. Or 40/40. That said, if you just wanna use the estoc, base str is perfect, as that e contributes nothing. I recommend 16 str to have access to the chaos blade and silver knight spear. I recommend never stopping at 20 str... For main hand I think the others are better. Estoc looks silly but is undoubtedly better than the rapier. Uses the same amount of stamina per swing but does more damage and has the range of a spear, so it's basically a straight up upgrade.
