It doesn't make sense to me why IH would have built both. A Super M with a T/A was a Super MTA. What would the purpose be to order an M with a T/A, and then delete the T/A?

If you need more get a stiffer governor spring and be prepared to turn the rpm back down to normal levels. A stiffer spring will help hold the governor back , so you will notice a differance.
