If you take too much of the metal off by "polishing", you will make your G43 into an unsafe weapon which could result in the "safety" part of the plunger not so safe. When you pull the trigger, the firing pin should move freely in the firing pin channel. If the trigger is still pinned to the rear, when you lock the slide open, the firing pin will protrude from the breech face when the gun is tiled forward and slide back when you tip the gun up. I see extractors in stock in many places. I don't see any online vendor with an extractor plunger or plunger spring for the gun. My first thought, and the advice of another long-time Glock shooter who inspected everything yesterday, was to replace both of those.
