In order to do this you must pull the inside door panel out at least on the back half of the door. Pull back the vapor barrier. I did this from outside the car by moving the back of the door away from the car. Next remove the roller hinge from the door, hook in the two cable stops and re-install the roller hinge. You can now open and close the door carefully by hand multiple times. Finally, release the tensioners, and open and close the door a few times again.
