May 21, 2012 / john deere 14sb 21" push mower transmission isssue. #1. i have a 14sb 5 speed self-propelled john Deere push mower. and have taken the transmission apart and cleaned out all the dirty grease, and was wondering if any one has a recommendation for what type of grease to use. seems like the old grease was gasoline resistant, and soft.

John Deere 14sb with Kawasaki run problem. I posted this in the homeowner forum but haven't got any responses yet. I picked up this mower cheap ( 10 Bucks) and it will not run once I take it off choke. The choke was a froze up and was stuck on.
