a mage tank doesn't make sense because you can always have equal range level to your magic level. Mage is just as viable as range is. Different method, same result. So this is the equivalent of saying that range tanks don't make sense as they can have equal mage level as their range. Only true mage pures I don't consider tanks to be pures anyway.
