As a new Victory owner with around 500 rounds through it, I have a couple of questions: I have had a FTF about every 75 rounds with no primer marks. Also the slide only locks back on the last round about 1 in 4 or 5 magazines but locks back every time if you put a empty magazine in and rack the slide. Sweet collection dude. I'm going to give it a full polish, as I did with my S&W 460V (3lb/12oz of chrome-like stainless beauty with a custom-made Kansas Black Walnut grip). First off, the Model 18 is essentially a 4" Model 17, or K-22. During the last gasp of the "Good" Model 17 (around -5 as I recall) there was a 4" Model 17, but this was after the Model 18 was discontinued. The 1911 has 3 different length triggers avaliable, as well as 2 different main spring housings, (arched or flat) and different width grips, all on these can be used the custom fit the gun to your hand and trigger finger length. I really like the extra capacity and today I finally pulled the trigger. It's dimensionally almost identical to my Shield, but the short mag holds 10 rounds instead of 7, and the longer mag holds 13 instead of 8.
