Yes. When you plug in the mouse it automatically downloads and installs the AWCC software. From there you can just click on the "Go Dark" option for the mouse and the lighting will turn off and this will persist between reboots. There is also a "Go Dim" option, so the lights are on but not as glaring. 1.

Try Hibernation instead. It takes a picture of your memory and saves it to the SSD.
