By that, I mean that future development and improvements in cameras and lenses is likely to take place in the mirrorless space. But for now, the D850 is hard to beat. Glenn.

On a few occassions with a fully charged battery the low battery charge indicator has appeared on my D700 and I have lost power. After reinserting the battery power is restored and everything is fine. It's happened about half a dozen times over the last few months. The Z fc (and similary would a Z50 and Z30) performs incredibly well at high ISO low light. Nikon performs better than the more expensive/newer XT5, R7, and performs similarly to the full frame Sony A7C (which has the sensor from the A7 III). Very impressive. Focus is swift and sure and it makes for a nicer travel/walkaround lens vs the 24-70. But it's a 5:1 zoom vs a 3:1 zoom so there will be some optical compromises. I shot many seasons of cross country with an old AF-S 80-200/2.8 IF-ED that required -17 to -19 of AF fine tune on both my D750 and D500. The expected D850 shutter life is 200,000. From your experience is the 200,000 conservative or should I factor in a shutter replacement, or just pray it lasts well over 220,000. Anybody have any shutter count data for the D850.
