The Micro Dagger™ magazine was originally slated to drop in the second half of April. Designing and manufacturing a magazine which increases capacity by 50% while maintaining the reliability of an OEM Glock magazine isn't easy. Unlike PSA's gen3-based pistols, the OEM Glock G43X (and G48) is covered by active Glock patents.
Finally made it to the range with the Glock 43x and the new Dagger Micro 15rd mag. Before going to the range I took the mag apart and checked the spring and did a little sanding inside the mag on the polymer side, on the sharp edges of the follower and the top edges of the the mag. The Magpul PMAG GL series aims to do the same for the Glock magazine realm. PMAG on top of a Glock OEM magazine. At this time Magpul has plenty of options for 9mm Glocks. Magpul just recently released a 140mm, 21 round GL9 magazine, legal for USPSA limited class. They're also releasing a 170mm, 27 round magazine for IPSC.
Have a feeling it will be the same with the PSA mags, but I’m holding out hope that if enough people continue to buy the aftermarket 15 round mags. To be honest, recently I usually just use the factory mags. A loaded 43X with factory 10+1 is 23.5 ounces, and with the Shield 15+1 is almost 26 ounces. Two and a half ounces more is not a lot, but it seems much lighter. Where I live, 11 Rounds of 124 HST should do for most social situations.
But a subcompact magazine for the 26 won't work in the 17 because it's too small. Likewise with 40 caliber Glock 22 magazines, which will fit and function in both Glock 23 and Glock 27 pistols. ... The best answer is to buy some of each and thoroughly test them to see which function reliably in your gun. If Shield Arms or PSA do not function reliably then it may be worth considering sticking with OEM. For me personally shield arms gen 3 mags function reliably. The Glock 43 takes a single stack magazine that only allows for 6 rounds. The Glock 43X uses a 10 round, double stacked magazine. I think that this is an excellent compromise for my money and the increased concealability with what I consider to be adequate capacity is something that I saw in my near future.
