About the buff I guess you're missing the icon on top right corner of the screen, like two fists there. Or you're ridding a 100% imprinted dino but not by you, so you wont get the buff. The imprint timer is the same for all dinos. The default is 8 hours with a setting of 1. Since your setting is at .5, your timer is 4 hours. The amount of imprints you can fit into the maturation window dictates he percentage. So if your imprint is in 4 hours and it matures in 5 hours, you can obviously only fit 1 imprint in that time. You'll get an additional invisible bonus when you're riding it, 30% damage and damage reduction if it's 100% imprinted, so 15-16% for you.
