I'm contemplating signing up for the dasher direct prepaid card but want to make sure it's a good option. I dash just for side money to save up for a large purchase and while of course I can manually transfer it into my savings account each week, I'd prefer to have it in a separate account away from my normal banking and it seems like a good option rather than opening a new bank account.

It is not as great as it is cracked up to be. Fast Pay is pretty much instantaneous. Dasher direct allegedly transfers at midnight but may take 2-3 hours. In practice it takes 4-8 hours. So if you aren't in a hurry, do Dasher Direct.
