Dune by Frank Herbert is probably my favorite sci-fi book. Red Rising by Pierce Brown is my favorite sci-fi series. The Red Rising series is great. So many unexpected events. There are a ton I love! Offhand, some of my favorites are The Zodiac Trial, Your Turn to Die, Siren’s Call, Contemporary Gods, The Hero’s Journey, Cinderella Phenomenom, Butterfly Soup, Death Becomes You, Project: Perfectly Normal, and Cooking with Belmont. I’ll stop there, but there are many others I’ve enjoyed. II. The Book of Lost Tales, Part 2. The Book of Lost Tales was Tolkien's first go at creating his mythology. It is sort of a proto-Silmarillion; all of the tales are retold in other forms in the later works, but here Tolkien is a very young writer feeling his way. III. The Lays of Beleriand.

The best ever is Gormenghast by Mervyn Peake, then Book of the New Sun by Wolfe. The Witcher books are also literally medieval, and Joe Abercrombie's new series is fantastic as well. The Once and Future King is great. It's about King Arthur, Merlin, and the Knights of the Round Table! The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings.I love Jaci Burton’s sports romance books. Some great recommendations in the thread already, especially the Game On series by Kristen Callihan and the Escape to New Zealand series by Rosalind James. Like my favorite book when I was in high school was the road by cormac McCarthy. Grim tale about the nature of humans after everything collapses. Shows some of the extremes we could go to. Now I’ve read more one of my favorite books is a classic by Alexandre Dumas, The count of monte Cristo.Shogun, The Martian, Ready Player One (some people dislike Will Wheaton's voice though).
