I'm going the other route, (Rogue with Monk dedication) and I'm pretty excited to dunk with a flurry of sneak attacks and the Sodbuster shoony feat to get full cover / concealment by burrowing underground. Comes online a whole lot later, but field battles should be a breeze once those feats start taking off.
