Anything in Truckee is about 15-20 minutes from the resort without traffic. Nightlife is very minimal unless you go to Reno (45min -1hr drive) or South lake (1hr -1.5 hr drive).
Regarding charging, charge as much as possible before heading into Tahoe. While Tahoe has sufficient number of superchargers, the rate is quite slow with cold battery. Just took a trip on 3/18/21 to 3/21/21. Start point corona CA, first stop Mammoth Lakes. Stay 2 nights and then continue to lake tahoe. Stay 1 night. From lake tahoe to Corona non stop. Fully charged at home. Charged for 10 minutes at Hesperia, charged 35 minutes in lone pine. Charging was no issue.
