If no crank, just click, also check condition of power wire from battery to starter and it's connectors. If it has green crusties then it's not able to deliver enough amperage or volts. Your no start condition could be caused by several things. I suggest that you have a technician inspect: the mass airflow sensor, crank position sensor, cam position sensor. fuel pressure regulator and the immobilizer system. A bad mass air flow sensor will cause incorrect data to be sent to the computer which will cause a no start condition.

If the idle goes too low when the AC compressor is active, it is likely the VSV (vacuum switching valve) on the firewall is no longer working. You can verify the VSV by checking resistance between the pins - I believe it should be something like 40 ohms - if it is high/infinite resistance, it is bad.

After three hours of dis-assembling and re-assembling the front end of the car again, we were able to repair the wire. Now it starts like a champ". May be worth a look.
