Tundra 4lo light flashing.

Apr 1, 2017 · NEED HELP: Check engine light on, slip indicator light on, and 4Lo flashing. My Tundra is a 2011 Crewmax 4x4 with just under 139,000 miles. I don't do any towing or offroading. Mostly stays on the asphalt and the occasional trip to the beach. So about 3 days ago, my check engine light came on and I took it to Autozone to check the code. If it's still flashing, move back to 4hi, drive forward a bit, then stop, put it in neutral, move to 2hi. Drive a little. Then if you still want to be in 4 wheel low, try moving back down to 4hi and then 4lo, moving a little between each change. PS you might have turned the 4 wheel drive knob by accident. Jun 25, 2015 · I have had an issue with my Tundra that has been documented since October 2011. Occasionally when I start the vehicle, the 4lo light is flashing accompanied by a beeping alert, the transmission releases into a neutral position and the shift selector becomes essentially useless (you can toggle from Park through each setting including drive and the transmission will not engage). Today on the freeway on the way home from a 500 Km round trip the engine warning light came on, followed by the 4LO light flashing and then the slip light came on. This all happened within 15 seconds of each other. I have turned the car on and off a number of times but the lights remain the same.

I was in 4-high. It was working fine. When I turned the switch to 4 low while in neutral, the light on the dash just blinked rapidly. It wouldn't switch to 4 low. Hey my 4hi light flashes when in 2wd but when in 4hi it's stays on. Both 4hi/lo work. Yes, I finally got to it and fix it. It was the 4wd actuator switch on the transfer case. Toyota want almost $1000 for that part alone and you'll still have to open the transfer case up to pull the actuator off. Instead I went a bought an used whole transfer case for $600 and put it on. No more 4lo flashing and my 4hi and 4lo work now.

I ended up at the Toyota dwaler and they found an issue with somthing to do with exhaust pumps and ended up putting me in a rental and fixing it under a recall.
