It wasn’t until I Googled it and found this Reddit thread that I learned what was actually happening. But a lot of people won’t go that extra step (and some people may not even think to do it or know what DoorDash even is). If Petco wants to use DoorDash, they need to make that clear. It’s just not right to abuse drivers for their deliveries.

Then you realize the customers are shitty people, corporate thinks you are a cheap robot and it all weighs on you. You can’t cancel but you can call customer service and say your pet died to cancel or add an empty gift card as your payment and it will stop. you gotta call customer service and tell them you want to cancel because your animal died, it’s the only way to get out of it afiak. It objectively removed a lot of the value you could be saving—by Petco's own estimates, you lose about $300/yr in savings vs. the free nail trim/teeth brushing benefit.
