You might be able to get away with a gen 3 g17 slide and a gen 5 g17 barrel to avoid the frame modification…. A simpler solution is to use a gen 3 g19L slide.

There is a huge gap by the muzzle though because the gen 4 frame opening is wider than the gen 3. Not sure if it is safe, but it did work.
