Not that you did anything wrong. Plenty of builders reuse that stuff. I agree with Jaime more of those are popping up that reused the crank in a new build. Nov 26, 2018 · Broken cranks seem to be a very rare problem for Duramax's. People would need to have some fairly sophisticated equipment on a running engine to track how harmonics from the camshaft would eventually result in damage to the crank.

When it goes into reduced engine, the ECM turns off the injector on the cylinder that is knocking, and it goes away.
