if you look at page 65, you can see that when the soot builds up too much from short trips, the DPF lamp will light. if the MIL (malfunction indicator lamp) that looks like a little engine is lit, and you first post says there is some sensor problem, the issue could be that a sensor is not working.
So i am looking for someone who has a 2013 passat tdi that has had success in their delete and can help me provide malone with the parameters to get the tune done correctly. An EGR delete is useless imo, if your car isn't burning oil it won't get clogged up. When the throttle is close to the floor or the rpm is over 3k the EGR stops interfering and acts like it isn't there. It helps with emissions when cruising or idling. No reason in removing it if it works.possible. Regeneration of the NOx storage catalyst. does not take place. In other words - disabling this exhaust valve will mess up the EGR system and (more importantly) prevent regeneration of the NOx storage catalyst.
