There could be a connection between the cruise control and the parking brake since when you apply the brake it will automatically release the cruise control. Sounds ike you have a fuse in diagnostic position in fuse panel. This fuse needs to be removed for normal operation. Not sure if you have open station straddle mount, flat platform or cab, but look for fuse marked "diag". Dave C.
