Malzeno LBG, Shagaru LBG, Narga and now Lucent LBG are all really strong Pierce LBGs. There's not rly that many good endgame spread LBGs. And with Spread being a riskier ammo type, especially with the gunner defense modifier in master rank, that further compounds the issue. Pierce LBG is my favorite definitely. 1.

Had the same thought, actually. I created a character a while back just to play with my wife and decided to run a Shrapnel build because of how spastic the monsters are in multiplayer. Toss in the wirebug vault skill and sticking a few mines to the monster and they light up like a Christmas tree with every shrapnel.
AngBata recently did a build video that's still recommending the Magnamalo LBG (but upgraded to the MR version, ofc). Not sure if something else has been discovered to be better yet. Spread is generally high DPS just like HBG if you can keep good uptime close to the monster, and you have a bunch of options for LBG (Spread 3 Evade Reload, Spread 3 Slow Reload, Spread 2 Normal Reload with larger clips, comes down to preference)

MHR Sunbreak Hunting Horn Builds. MHR. Hello Everybody, Just Wanted to know what are the Good horns you need to start to collect. As far as I know the 5 horns that are really good right now are Lunagaron, Malzeno, FRajang (checked the stats on a Database, havent gotten it yet), Teostra (Im not sure), Garangolm (as posted of one of the peeps).
Sticky HBG does more DPS because you can shit out stickies with a 4 size clip. However it's pretty immobile so it can take some getting used to. Sticky LBG does around the same damage as sticky HBG but less DPS because only clip size 2. It uses the Magnamalo gun that has a decent ability to fire slicing and spread so you have something to do ... Really fun, and beats out RF pierce narga in a bunch of match ups. Two negatives about the build: Stationary shooting, which isn't really too bad, just have to be more mindful of positioning. Low ammo count for slicing. Fortunately, the Zinogre LBG can also RF Normal 2 and Piercing Thunder Ammo. They're also semi-budget as well, since most of them just require a 2 Lv2 slots charm (Compared to Phemeto's "budget" builds requiring a Wex2 Lv3/Lv1 charm). Angbata is a good source too for budget builds or rather he does no charm builds. We call those “PC Builds” unless there is a way to make a talisman on switch. Raw and elemental boosts should be your focus for elemental gunning. To my understanding, elemental ammos double dip on raw since they have both a physical and elemental motion value which scales off of your attack so when you pump attack, you pump both the physical and elemental portion of the ammos. Firstly here are the controls for the LBG: X to reload. A to shoot. R+X+A to draw in to a reload. Hold L and press X or B to cycle between shots and select the one you want to choose before reloading. Tap R to go in to first-person shooter mode. Hold R to go in to quick target mode or third-person shooter mode.Sticky slice lbg works but it isn't as good as elemental. Getting it to work well also requires some good rolls on talismans and qurios armor crafting. If you can get the rolls, it's still a so so build for solo.
