beacuse ryze has to stand still to use e-w you usually cant react to his q3 with it. you should try practising dodging his q3 since after that you can pretty easily e-w and run away. you should also try to just push and roam, you wont be killing him in lane. also get boneplating, go normal paherush build but with boneplating and overgrowth/tenacityRiven and fiora are the easiest, except fiora will outscale you in the 1v1 late. Jax and tryndamere are also easy in lane, and teemo cant really do much against you either since his blind is useless and you outdamage him in trades. Lastly one of my favorite counter matchups which is non-intuitive is ryze into gnar top.Rod of Ages has been removed from the game, archangel is trash, ryze has been nerfed many times thanks to pro play, the only legendary mana item in the game is the frozen heart. Its actually not too bad. The problem with lane ryze is that u have to face an oponent 1v1 with no dmg, no sustain, no nothing until u get a couple items. With ryze jungle youre able to safely farm (if the enemy doesnt invade you) and your ganks arent bad at all with a point and click CC. Only thing that helds him back is stuff like WW Kha Udyr ...
