Its comparable to my Merkur 34c in terms of smoothness in everyday shaving. You can pick it up in person at Walgreens too, cant go wrong with it.

MOST shavettes just take a normal double edge blade cut/snapped in half, but some shavettes take special blades. Unless you're dropping 100+ dollars on a Feather shavette, normal DE blades should be fine. Yea I normally use a DE. I have been using it for a while and get good shaves.
