The camshaft is made of case-hardened steel and has seven main bearings (five on the 4-cylinder engine). Each cylinder has cams for intake and exhaust valves and a unit pump. The valves are controlled by mushroom tappets, pushrods, and rocker arms. The intake valves are opened and closed by a valve-guided bridge.

Mar 29, 2010 · We have had numerous inake heater relays fail on 3116/3126 engines. The C7 engines use a heavier relay. The earlier relays are to small to carry the 90+ amp load. On the 3116/3126 engines we have been using the Blue Bird relay that is used for the body heater/light functions. It does require replacing the terminal ends with something much heavier.

The grid heaters on our Vision's here will continue to cycle causing the volt gauge to drop, the STOP light and TOO LOW with pic of battery, until the engine oil temp and the engine water temp reach 120 degrees cumulatively. So basically 60 degrees of temp on each one is suppose to stop grid heater from coming on.
