Apr 23, 2004 · When the Nova came out I bought one and sold my 835. I personally prefer the Nova for a few reasons. First, its lighter. Second, I feel it has a better action, and for me it is easier to cycle. My 835 was one of the models that had trouble with the extractor not grabbing the shell when you cycle the action. The fit and finish is excellent. The M4 has a free carrier that allows the chambered shell to be ejected while keeping a new shell from loading from the mag tube. That said, they're not priced the same. The M4 is 2.5X the price of the 930SPX and is not worth the extra money in my case. The 930SPX is a better value imo.Benelli Supernova can be had for $456 shipped. Mossberg 500 with wood furniture can be had for $390 shipped. Both come with multiple chokes.
