Never been a huge fan of the Westin hotel, and have often given the nod to the Sheraton between the two. However, the Westin’s renovation is really amazing and well done. We stayed there for New Year's Week last year. It was pretty nice. Great location on Kaanapali beach.It was VERY crowded when we went and hard to find a lawn chair by the pool, but it was PEAK time to be there over the holiday.Royal Lahaina is pretty basic. If you want more “stuff” the amenities it would be the Westin. However that being said, I like the Royal Lahaina.
